I am very sorry for the delay. We were briefly out of stock of the Schrödinger's Cat Puzzle. We did put this information up on the web site.
Unfortunately, due to Brexit, it now takes weeks for orders to arrive from the EU, so there was a delay in getting more stock. However this puzzle is now back in stock.
Your order was packed late last night, and will be picked up by EVRI today. Your tracking number is T00PEA0018449281, although your order will not appear on the EVRI tracking web site until they have collected the package from our warehouse. You should also get an automated e-mail from the warehouse with your tracking number, although I know these can sometimes end up in the trash folder.

I think in general the products are way too expensive considering what you receive. I live in the Netherlands and if I knew I had to pay so much in taxes I would considered twice buying anything at all. There are other products that I would like to buy but considering prices and taxes I will look for other options.
Now, about what I bought: the light modulator is still not working. I have to figure out if it is because of the batteries or if there is any other reason.

We are struggling with the problems caused by Brexit (which we didn't vote for!)
On the one hand, we no longer charge 20% VAT on orders to the EU. However EU customers will have to pay the VAT in their country, before they receive the package. This is an extra amount of administration, which is a real nuisance.
But in addition, the courier companies also charge a handling charge, because they now have to contact the customer and collect the payment, before they can deliver the goods. While the amount of VAT varies with the value of the order, the handling charge is often a fixed amount, and so can make a small order much more expensive.
Many of our most interesting items are hand made, and not mass produced in China. The Light Modulator is just such an example. This makes them more expensive. I am sorry about that. Our mark up is not that high. Grand Illusions is just 3 people, and none of us get any salary from running the company.

Grand Illusions is one of those amazing finds. Thoughtful, impressive, challenging puzzles and toys passionately curated and expertly shipped. I absolutely love them. I almost don't want to recommend them because they are my secret go to for AMAZING presents for my godchildren and daughter and I don't want the other godparents to find it!

Nothing like as good as advertised, almost impossible to focus them correctly even after trying for several minutes. we wish we hadn't bought them, really a waste of money at £14 quid or so, wish we could have got our money back.

Rubbish material, way overpriced
Shipping outside uk = extra tax = price x 2

I know there is tax to pay plus handling charges, which pushes up the overall price a lot, especially for smaller orders. There is a note on our web site to explain this. This is because of Brexit, which is not our fault. I did not vote for it, and it is damaging our business as well as many others. But do not worry. Within a few years there will only be one shop left, called Amazon, who will deliver orders within 15 minutes by drone!
As far as the chain is concerned, this is not a fault that has been reported before. We would have sent a replacement if you had asked.

DHL tracking number showed that the shipment has been returned to the sender.
I still did not received the ordered item. When I asked by email and at the online site, I could not have any reply.

I am sorry that this order was not delivered. There was some mix up with a missing invoice - our warehouse sends an electronic and a paper version and it seems the paper version got lost somehow.
I will organise a replacement order to be sent as soon as possible.
