This is a great store with excellent service and products. I've ordered from them a couple of times and always received prompt delivery. Note that there are import fees when ordering from Canada.

Apologies - I have not heard back yet from the manufacturer. I have spoke to my colleague Tim, who suggests that a little strip of adhesive tape - the kind that has a cloth/fabric style backing, applied inside the slider, should give it the required friction so that it does not slip.
I am sorry you have had this problem. Let me know if this fixes it. Otherwise I will send you a replacement free of charge.

Shipping and packaging excellent and in time as usual. Postal runtime acceptable in spite of Christmas and Covid-19, was hanging in DHL station Frankfurt a few days for unknown reasons.

Music box works perfectly! The customer service provided by Hendrik was phenomenal. I ordered my music box as a Christmas gift but selected the wrong shipping option. Hendrik sent me another one by express shipping so that it would be hear in tim thank him enough!

Since finding Grand Illusion so many of my needs have been answered. It is perfect for the handful of godchildren and my daughter in terms of birthday/Christmas and other presents but equally, every so often, for myself too.

The ring rotation stops needed some material removed to permit the graduated circles to align at the correct relationship to each other. After I had taken care of that it worked fine.
