Shetland yarns are my favorites -- I much prefer a crisp yarn with character rather than the soft-spun yarns that bag out of shape upon wearing, and few yarns can match the color choices and blends that Shetland yarns boast. It's a pleasure to knit with J&S yarns and to wear garments made with it. I visited Lerwick many years ago and went home with three duffel bags of yarn. I'd like to do that again, but in lieu of a visit, it's great to be able to order straight from the company.

Jamieson & Smith produces exquisite yarns in delicious Island hues. I would give anything to return to Shetland to purchase more in person but their world class product is available anytime on their efficient website with immediate shipping. I’ve ordered from J& S for years and shipping to the US is consistently 6 days for me on the east coast. The value of the merchandise is amazing and very much worth the additional shipping cost. I’ve never needed customer service but I’m sure their service would be incredible as well!
